About Seva Spine
Seva Spine: Built on a Promise of Service
While in medical school, I made a promise to myself: if I was fortunate enough to match into an Orthopaedic Surgery residency, I would find a way to give back.
In 2013, after completing my residency and spine fellowship training, I participated in a humanitarian mission to Kolkata, India. It was there that the vision for Seva Spine was born.
"Seva" means service in Punjabi and is a fundamental tenet of the Sikh faith. Inspired by this principle, we began partnering with organizations around the world to provide charitable spine care to individuals who otherwise would not have access to treatment.
In 2018, in memory of my sister, who passed away from breast cancer at the age of 27, the dream of Seva Spine became a reality. With a facility established and a dedicated team behind the mission, we launched our first humanitarian spine mission.
Today, Seva Spine exists to help those who cannot afford modern spinal care. Through charitable surgeries, humanitarian missions, and ongoing support, we strive to restore mobility, improve quality of life, and leave the world better than we found it.
